If you are anywhere near this sweet couple at any point in time, I promise you are smiling if not laughing. They absolutely radiate joy. I got to spend lots of time with Lani and her sweet family planning this wedding alongside them and they are truly the type of people who just make you feel like family. (Seriously, I’m totally in with Nana, right?) We even had a planning meeting at Chuy’s.. does it get any more awesome than that? They are both kind, bubbly, classy and always taking other’s feelings into consideration. They wanted a wedding that reflected all those things as well their relationship as a whole. The couple chose to have a classic church ceremony at Green Acres Baptist Church. Stunning floral urns created by La Bella Blooms, Lani’s gorgeous cathedral veil passed down to her from her mother, and the very talented Tyler String Quartet stole the show. The reception was held at KE Bushman’s Winery and Celebration Center. The room was fully draped and completely drenched in floral and candlelight, it was perfect. Fun details like glowing sunglasses for the dance floor, a Shorty’s pizza box groom’s cake (both cakes provided by Designs by D’Anne) , and classic songs from both of their Greek organizations created such a fun atmosphere that everyone enjoyed all night long.
I studied with Lani in college so we have known each other for years. But I truly got to know her, her friends, and her sweet family through planning their wedding. Not only does Steven adore her, so do their friends and family. All day, no matter who was in the room, they were swooning over her. Everyone’s hearts were overflowing and it was so, so evident. Lani always has a reason to smile, I’d like to think that’s going to give Steven a wonderful reason to smile everyday for rest of their lives. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Bell!
